Scott Anderson, President High Country Hospitality
Scott is an acknowledged expert on hospitality, internet marketing, customer service and a myriad of hospitality related subjects. As the President of High Country Hospitality, he is often called upon to be an expert witness, motivational speaker or consultant to Full Service Hotels and Resorts, Limited Service Hotels, Mixed Use Developments, Golf Course facilities and Shared Ownership facilities. His event experience and management expertise has been in demand since Scott served as Managing Director of Games Services for the 1996 Olympic Games and General Chairman of the 2010 PGA Championship.

Pamela Barnhill, Secretary
Pamela Barnhill is President of InnSuites Hospitality Trust (NYSE: IHT) where she owns and manages 8 hotels and also provides marketing, reservation services and membership network for thousands of independent boutique hotels through IBC Hotels (InnDependent Boutique Collection Hotels). Each IBC Hotel is independently owned and operated. InnSuites Hospitality Trust is headquartered in Phoenix Arizona. and Fusing Independent Travelers and Independent Hotels Together.

Raj Dhillon, Vice President
President/Owner of Dhillon Hotels & Montana Lodging Investments.
Mr. Dhillon owns and manages hotels in Montana and North Dakota.

Jeff Durham
Jeff Durham had his introduction to the hospitality industry through the Food & Beverage Department at an early age and built most of that experience in the Napa Valley and the San Francisco Bay Area. He trained with Four Seasons Hotel Company, has worked in all aspects of the hospitality industry and was the opening manager for two renowned chefs-owned restaurants on both the west and east coast.

Currently serving as a commissioner for the Planning Commission and Parks and Community Services Commission for Yountville, California, Mr. Durham is in tune with the needs and demands of local and state government. He is an active member of the communities of Napa and Humboldt Counties, participation with the Collins Hospitality Society, the Alumni Association of the Collins College of Hospitality Management, and serving on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt County Visitors’ and Convention Bureau.

Durham serves on the Board of Directors for the Humboldt County Visitors’ and Convention Bureau giving him insight into the demand for lodging and marketing opportunities as well as extensive experience establishing a Tourist Improvement District (TID) in California.

Aaron D. Faust
Aaron D. Faust is a Founding and Managing Partner at Terroir Capital. Prior to this, Aaron worked at CSI Capital Management, helping to oversee non-public investments, and before this, as a corporate attorney. He serves as Manager of Terroir Hotel and Resort Management LLC, Terroir Partners LLC, and Terroir Partners II LLC, the General Partner of Terroir Hotel & Resort Funds I and II and the Terroir Winery Fund LP, respectively, and sits on the boards of several portfolio companies. Terroir Capital invests in, develops, and operates luxury boutique hotels worldwide.

Aaron received his undergraduate degree in Political Science with Distinction in General Scholarship from the University of California at Berkeley and is a graduate of Georgetown University Law Center. He is a member of the State Bar of California.

Frances Kiradjian
Founder of the Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association (BLLA), Frances Kiradjian, a 25-year hospitality and travel industry seasoned professional, created BLLA to give a voice to boutique & lifestyle properties and small brands, offering them the opportunity and the means to compete on a level playing field with major hotel companies. BLLA serves more than 500 members including hotels and the suppliers that sustain them.

Ms. Kiradjian’s travel experience cuts across various areas of the industry, but always with a razor-sharp focus on the hospitality sector. Her creative marketing, sales, and consulting skills have netted proven successes in brand positioning, product, service promotion and awareness programs, and corporate, client and profit maximization campaigns.

John Manderfeld, President
Marin Management, Inc.
John is president of Marin Management in Sausalito, has nearly 30 years experience in the lodging industry. His career includes 11 years in food-and-beverage operations as well as sales with Westin Hotels and Resorts. He previously served as Vice President for two major hotel development and management companies in Dallas: Metro Hotels, Inc. and Mariner Corporation. Manderfeld holds the Certified Hotel Administrator (CHA) designation and is recognized by the Educational Institute of the American Hotel & Lodging Association. He is a public speaker and has presented seminars for the most prominent trade associations in the lodging industry. He is also a trainer and technical author, having developed numerous training programs and procedural manuals. John manages numerous independently owned hotels and brings his hotel management experience to ILIA.

Howard Mathews, Past President
Golden Bear Inn , Berkeley CA.
Since 1972, Mathews has owned or managed 30 motels and hotels from a 22-unit property in North Lake Tahoe to a 310-unit full-service Ramada Inn in Salt Lake City. With his more than 30 years experience and knowledge of the industry, Mathews counsels lodging property investors on how to run a profitable operation. Mathews has been qualified and employed by the California Municipal and Superior Courts as an expert witness in the hotel and motel industry and also in the hotel and motel brokerage business. He is a long-time active member of CLIA (California Lodging Industry Association) and served as CLIA’S president in 1997 and 2010.

Sima Patel
Sima and her husband Peter Patel are the owners of the Hampton Inn & Suites, Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites and the newly developed independent hotel- The Hotel Vue. Sima pursued a passion for Hospitality since 1979 by working in all aspects of the hospitality industry from daily operations , sales & marketing, to development. Sima is a champion of tourism marketing and a leader in state and regional hospitality industry.

Stephen K. Post
Stephen Post’s hospitality experience spans more than 30 years in management, ownership, development, receivership and brokerage.

The most recent experience includes Stephen’s position as president and major shareholder of Amber Hotel Company (“Amber”) and Post Financial Management Corporation (“PFMC”), two of the most respected national real estate service companies with services ranging from brokerage, valuations, asset management and receiverships. Amber and PFMC have represented hundreds of clients in a variety of capacities and since 2009 were retained by 90+ lenders.

Narender Taneja
JJM Group Hotels, Wyoming.
Narender is the President and CEO of JJM Group Hotels where he owns, operates, and manages branded hotels. Each hotel property is independently owned and operated. Mr. Taneja brings his years of experience as an owner/operator of independently owned franchises to ILIA.
